About the role

Provide Cyber Monitoring (CMON) support to the OCX operational mission, interfacing with Raytheon ISSO and Cybersecurity experts.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Cyber monitoring operations in a standard 40-hour work week, providing visibility into GPS network assets using situational awareness tools.
  • Perform mission-essential CMON support, including:
    • Executing CMON duties in accordance with Government-provided processes and procedures.
    • Analyzing CMON data and correlating trends while maintaining required proficiency and certification.
  • Remain trained and fully certified for CMON tasks.
  • Maintain awareness of GPS network traffic conditions, performance, bandwidth indicators, anomaly alerts, unauthorized activity, audit logs, and ongoing cyber events or incidents.
  • Identify and document unauthorized activity and/or cyber events, including source/destination addresses and ports, vector (e.g., network intrusion, web-based), and timeframe.
  • Conduct Malware Protection (MP) activities, such as network monitoring, host-based security, malware incident response, and malware detection signature updates.
  • Provide insider threat detection support, including developing monitoring and auditing capabilities tailored to mission requirements.
  • Offer technical support for required cybersecurity technical meetings.
  • Collect packet capture data to support Attack Sensing & Warning Components and provide that data during incident response scenarios to OCX Cyber SMEs and other stakeholders per Government-approved procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or IT-related field (desired), or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Active Secret clearance, with the ability to attain Top Secret clearance and SCI eligibility.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience with cybersecurity protection services.
  • Ability to independently interpret and follow written technical instructions and procedures.
  • Collaborative teamwork with government customers and other contractors.
  • Technical background in DoD/AF/DoW/SF programs and ability to follow procedural content for CMON assignments.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications, especially Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • DOD 8570 IAT Level II (Security+).
  • DoD work experience with USSF satellite operations and operating systems.
  • U.S. citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Host-based Intrusion Protection Systems (HIPS).
  • Familiarity with Tripwire (File Integrity).
  • Familiarity with Forcepoint Highspeed Guard (CDS).
  • Familiarity with Tenable/Nessus (Scanning).
  • Familiarity with LogRhythm.
  • Familiarity with Microfocus OBM/NNMi.
  • Previous Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) experience.

Schedule

This is a full-time position, typically working 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required depending on operational needs. The current contract extends through 30 November 2026, with potential for follow-on work.
