Role Overview
We are seeking a driven, tech-savvy Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer to join our growing security engineering team. In this role, you will assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security products and architectures to protect our infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Deployment: Assist in configuring, deploying, and maintaining security tools, including firewalls, SIEM platforms, EDR agents, and identity access systems.
- Architecture Support: Collaborate with senior engineers to review infrastructure blueprints and ensure alignment with core cybersecurity frameworks.
- Vulnerability Management: Assist in running periodic security audits, scanning infrastructure for gaps, and helping teams patch identified flaws.
- Automation & Scripting: Write basic scripts (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) to automate repetitive security tasks and system validation.
- Triage & Integration: Act as a technical point of contact to troubleshoot internal integration issues with security software.
- Documentation: Create and update technical blueprints, deployment guides, and standard operating procedures for deployed security suites.
Preferred Education and Technical Expertise
- Education: Bachelor's Degree Required
- Technical and Professional Expertise:
- Experience: 2 years of experience in an IT support, networking, systems administration, or introductory security role.
- Core Technical Knowledge: Fundamental understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing, subnets, and the OSI model.
- Operating Systems: Hands-on familiarity with both Windows and Linux environments.
- Cloud Basics: Foundational exposure to cloud environments such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Analytical Thinking: Methodical problem-solving skills to evaluate architecture risks and system bugs.
- Effective Communication: Ability to translate complex technical vulnerabilities into clear, actionable advice for non-technical teams.
