Cybersecurity Operations Specialist

Our client, a leading airline industry provider, is seeking a Cybersecurity Operations Specialist to join their collaborative global team of experienced security professionals. This role works across cybersecurity, cloud platform, infrastructure, and engineering teams to implement scalable security controls, support security operations, and continuously improve the organization's cloud security posture in a fast-paced, highly dynamic enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement and improve cloud-native security controls, identity and access management, workload protection, and security automation across modern cloud environments
• Design and execute advanced threat detection and incident response protocols, ensuring rapid identification, containment, and remediation of security incidents
• Support the operations of the SOC, ensuring it is equipped with the latest tools, technologies, and processes to effectively monitor and respond to security threats
• Work closely with senior leadership, project managers, and stakeholders to align cybersecurity initiatives with corporate objectives and ensure successful project delivery
• Communicate security risks, strategies, and incident statuses to leadership, and prepare performance reports with insights on compliance, effectiveness, and KPIs
• Ensure adherence to cybersecurity standards and regulations, developing strategies and governance frameworks for security operations
• Develop and implement secure communication protocols to protect sensitive data and ensure the integrity of cybersecurity systems

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering
• Hands-on cloud security experience, including cloud-native security controls and securing cloud environments
• Scripting skills for security automation
• Experience with identity and access management and workload protection
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills applied to complex security challenges
• Effective collaboration across cybersecurity, cloud platform, infrastructure, and engineering teams

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cloud security engineering or related cybersecurity roles
• Experience designing and implementing cloud security solutions and architectures
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their security features
• Experience with regulatory compliance and industry standards (GDPR, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001)
• Airline or transportation industry experience
• Advanced degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field

Work Environment

Location: Fort Worth, TX (local candidates required)
Hybrid: 3 days onsite per week

Pay

The approximate pay range for this position is between $36.00 and $52.00 per hour. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location.
