Responsibilities
- Oversee security controls for the company
- Manage a team of IT security technicians
- Architect new security technologies
- Assign and track tasks to team members
- Provide training and experience to junior members
- Maintain and enhance security awareness programs
- Develop, implement, and maintain IT policies and procedures
- Coordinate with various teams and executives
- Maintain and automate security tasks using various technologies
- Maintain PCI compliance
- Remediate vulnerabilities found
- Build IT security policy, procedures, and standards
- Plan, acquire, and coordinate installation of software solutions
- Negotiate with vendors and contractors
- Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
- Lead complex initiatives and project teams
- Communicate complex technological issues in business terms
- Handle multiple overlapping projects and competing deadlines
- Develop career plans for team members
- Ensure the quality of work produced by the team meets established standards
- Prepare and maintain annual department budget
- Provide periodic employee performance reviews
- Hold team members accountable for meeting IT quality of work standards
Requirements
Exceptional verbal and written communications skills.
Demonstrated leadership and personnel management skills.
Effectively communicate complex technological issues in business terms.
Highly self-motivated and directed.
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business (or Management), Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Experience in the Distribution industry
- 2+ years of management experience
- 5+ years of IT Security experience
Skills
- Knowledge of technical platforms and languages required for this position
- Knowledge of the Windows operating environment
