Cybersecurity Lead/ISSM

About the role

The Cybersecurity Lead/Information System Security Manager (ISSM) will oversee and enforce Department of War policies and procedures to maintain a comprehensive security posture for a government information system. This role will advise the Project Manager, Area Officer, and Information Systems Security Officer (ISO), and manage an ISSO team ensuring compliance with AF information security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and enforcement of Department of War policies and procedures
• Act as the primary security advisor to the PM, AO, and ISO
• Oversight of an ISSO Team ensuring compliance with established information security AF requirements
• Hybrid schedule supported from either Herndon, VA or Colorado Springs, CO

Requirements

• 5 years’ experience as an ISSM or 7 years’ experience as a Senior ISSO
• Subject Matter Expertise in Risk Management Framework
• Hands-on experience enforcing information protection policies in an unclassified environment
• Extensive experience in one or more of the following SIEM tools: Splunk, Sentinel, ELK Stack, Crowdstrike
• Experience with Infrastructure and Cloud Security tools including: Terraform/Ansible, Github
• At least one (1) of the following cyber security certifications: CASP+, CSSLP, CISSP
• Strong experience with DoD and Air Force Risk Management Framework (RMF)
• Proficient with a major cloud services platform, i.e. GCP, Azure, AWS, etc.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, related field
• U.S. Citizenship with an active Top Secret security clearance

Qualifications

• Desired but not required: Experience with task management, metrics collection, and status reporting to management
• Desired but not required: Proficient with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technology
• Desired but not required: Demonstrated knowledge/experience in the areas of resource allocation, workload management, and contract management
• Desired but not required: Additional certifications relevant to system and cyber security not previously listed

Pay

The salary range for this position is estimated to be between $150,000.00 - $165,000.00, commensurate on experience and technical skillset.

Schedule

This position is hybrid on-site based out of Herndon, VA or Colorado Springs, Colorado.
