Cybersecurity Intern

About the role

This position will focus on learning how the organization operates and is expected to gain valuable insight that can further a chosen career field. This position reports to the Manager or Director of the department and is employed by Mosaic Health Systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with conducting risk assessments, risk/issue tracking, building metrics, cybersecurity governance risk and compliance projects, and identity access management projects
• Assist with the following special projects:
  • Third Party Risk Management projects
  • Vulnerability Management Remediation projects
  • Medical Device vulnerability Remediation projects
  • Identity Access Management projects
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• H.S. Diploma (Required)
• Junior or Senior college-level student (Preferred)
• Computer knowledge (Required)
• Familiar with a variety of software programs, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint (Required)
• Must be able to travel between various system facilities and off-site locations as needed (Required)

Skills and Abilities

• Essential Technical/Motor Skills: Input data into computer, able to use calculator, computer, telephone, fax, and copy machine
• Interpersonal Skills: Able to effectively communicate on the phone and in person; able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Essential Mental Abilities: Performs basic math functions, manipulates numbers, and processes information accurately; comprehends, explains, and understands interpretation of policies effectively
• Essential Sensory Requirements: Visual skills required to locate files in alphabetical order; skills needed to communicate with customers by phone and in person
