About the role
We are looking for a Cybersecurity Expert/Specialist to design, implement, and maintain robust security measures that protect our information systems and networks from cyber threats. This role involves configuring and troubleshooting advanced security tools, monitoring threats, creating security policies, and leading incident response and forensic analysis to ensure the highest levels of protection for our organization.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement information system security controls and countermeasures.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot security devices (firewalls, IDS, WAF, sandbox, email security, EDR, etc.).
- Monitor networks for threats using security tools (e.g., IDS, DDoS protection, endpoint security).
- Detect and report on security incidents, vulnerabilities, and trends.
- Develop security policies, procedures, and response plans.
- Advise on new security measures to improve current systems.
- Conduct forensic investigations following cyber-attacks.
- Collaborate with vendors and IT personnel for issue resolution.
- Monitor and secure both local and remote networks.
- Perform additional tasks based on organizational needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer/IT Engineering or a related field.
- Strong hands-on experience with tools such as:
- F5 WAF
- Trend Micro (IPS, Deep Security, DDI)
- Palo Alto and Fortinet Firewalls
- Cisco FTD, Cisco WSA
- Microsoft Defender, O365 Email Security
- Experience in supporting and troubleshooting network security tools.
- Relevant certifications (preferred):
- CCIE (Security)
- CISO
- FTD
- Palo Alto Certified
- Fortinet Certified
- F5 Certified
- IPS Certified
- Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-500, etc.)
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Fluent English (spoken, written, read, and understood).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar.
- Ongoing education/training in cybersecurity.
- Fluency in both English (written and verbal).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work across cultures and adapt communication accordingly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Preferred certifications: CISSP or equivalent.
- Required knowledge of:
- National Information Assurance (NIA) policies
- Cloud Security Policy (2017)
- Cybersecurity and Privacy Laws
- Qatar Cybersecurity Framework
- Data protection regulations
