Cybersecurity Engineer - Clearance Required with Security Clearance

About the role

Cydecor is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer with a security clearance for a position based in Norfolk, Virginia. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cybersecurity, including threat detection, incident response, and security architecture design.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies and policies
• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans
• Coordinate with IT teams to ensure compliance with security standards and regulations
• Provide technical guidance and support to other departments on cybersecurity best practices
• Respond to security incidents and manage incident response processes
• Stay current with emerging threats and technologies in cybersecurity

Requirements

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity
• Experience with threat intelligence gathering and analysis
• Strong understanding of network security, encryption, and secure coding practices
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Proven track record of successful cybersecurity projects
• Experience with security tools such as SIEM, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as NIST, ISO, and GDPR
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
