Cybersecurity Engineer
About the role
Our client is expanding their Cybersecurity team and seeks two Cyber Security Engineers to support a growing security program. The organization is moving from a lean, jack‑of‑all‑trades engineering team to a more specialized structure across Infrastructure and Security functions. The ideal candidate should be within driving distance of Kenosha, WI and able to work onsite 2‑3 days per week in a hybrid arrangement; highly qualified remote candidates in the Midwest (including Chicago) who can commit to occasional onsite visits will also be considered.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, investigate, and respond to security incidents and threats
- Perform vulnerability assessments and support remediation efforts
- Manage and optimize SIEM, EDR, and threat detection capabilities
- Support security operations, monitoring, and incident response activities
- Assist with security awareness and phishing simulation programs
- Contribute to security governance initiatives and framework alignment

Qualifications
- Experience with Palo Alto Cortex (MDR/XDR)
- Knowledge of security governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) practices
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST CSF
- Experience running security awareness and phishing campaigns (ZenGuide experience a plus)
- Background supporting SIEM, EDR, and Threat & Vulnerability Management (TVM) programs
Pay
The pay range for this position is $85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year.
Schedule
This is a hybrid position based in Kenosha, WI, requiring onsite work 2‑3 days per week; remote candidates in the Midwest may be considered with occasional onsite visits throughout the year.
