Cybersecurity Engineer

About the role

A Cybersecurity Engineer is needed to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity and experience with network security, threat detection, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement security solutions to protect company assets.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in systems.
• Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and respond to security incidents.
• Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience in cybersecurity.
• Experience with firewall configuration, intrusion detection systems, and encryption technologies.
• Knowledge of common attack vectors and how to mitigate them.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in at least one programming language such as Python or Java.

Skills

• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks like NIST, CIS, or ISO 27001.
• Experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk or QRadar.
• Understanding of cloud security principles and practices.
• Hands-on experience with security tools such as Wireshark, Nessus, or Metasploit.

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually.
