What we're looking for
- Experience in cybersecurity engineering, network security, security tool development, detection engineering, system hardening, or vulnerability analysis
- Understanding of networking, operating systems, logging, access control, vulnerability management, and defensive security principles
- Ability to develop scripts, tools, queries, rules, or automation using Python, Bash, PowerShell, SQL, or similar technologies
- Comfortable analyzing technical systems, troubleshooting security issues, and communicating practical mitigation options
Nice to have
- Experience with IDS/IPS, SIEM, packet analysis, endpoint security, vulnerability scanning, YARA, Sigma, Suricata, Zeek, Wireshark, Splunk, Elastic, or similar tools
- Experience with weapon systems, embedded systems, cyber-physical systems, OT, ICS, SCADA, vehicles, sensors, or mission networks
- Familiarity with RMF, NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-171, NIST SP 800-82, or DoD cybersecurity processes
- Experience building custom cybersecurity tools, test harnesses, dashboards, data pipelines, or automated analysis workflows
- Relevant certifications such as Security+, CySA+, GCIH, GCIA, GICSP, CISSP, or similar
