About the role
The Cybersecurity Engineer embeds security-by-design principles into system architecture, cloud infrastructure, software configuration, and data handling approaches developed during IOC. This role addresses access controls, data protection, segmentation, and preparatory RMF considerations to reduce authorization risk during follow-on implementation. Early cybersecurity involvement ensures autonomous pentesting capabilities are deployed responsibly and align with DoD cybersecurity requirements as the capability transitions into IOC execution.
Responsibilities
- Define cybersecurity controls and secure configuration requirements
- Support RMF and authorization planning activities
- Ensure secure handling of autonomous assessment data
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent with 10+ years of relevant experience (or commensurate experience)
- Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly
- 10 years of experience with DoD cybersecurity frameworks and RMF
- Background in cloud and data security
- Experience conducting penetration testing, risk assessments, and vulnerability scans
- DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification (e.g., Sec+CE, SSCP, CND, CCNA Security)
Pay
Posted salary range: USD $193,000.00 – USD $213,000.00 per year.
