Position Summary
Global C2 Integration Technologies is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to implement, maintain, and document security controls for mission systems operating in a Secure Computing Environment (SCE). This role ensures compliance with government cybersecurity requirements, NIST SP 800-series standards, and the Risk Management Framework (RMF) to support Authority to Operate (ATO).
Responsibilities
- Implement RMF for mission systems and support authorization activities
- Identify, assess, and track system security risks
- Maintain accreditation documentation, including SSPs and POA&Ms
- Cook with Authorizing Officials (AO), ISSMs, and ISSOs
- Implement and maintain NIST SP 800-53 security controls and overlays
- Support control implementation across operating systems, applications, and networks
- Assist with assessments, remediation, and control traceability
- Support design, configuration, and maintenance of secure computing environments
- Ensure system architecture meets cybersecurity requirements
- Integrate security controls into system design and deployment
- Develop and maintain System Security Plans and supporting artifacts
- Document control implementations, assessments, and configuration records
- Harden and secure Windows and Linux systems
- Perform patching, vulnerability remediation, and baseline enforcement
- Configure logging, auditing, and monitoring
- Conduct vulnerability scanning and track remediation efforts
- Monitor logs and alerts for security events
- Support incident response activities
- Collaborate with system, network, and test engineers and configuration management teams
- Provide cybersecurity input to system design and architecture
- Maintain documentation to support audits and system lifecycle compliance
- Support security assessments and reviews
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience in enterprise or mission environments
- Knowledge of NIST SP 800-series and RMF
- Experience securing Windows and/or Linux systems
- Experience with vulnerability management and monitoring
Qualifications
- Experience supporting RMF-authorized government systems
- Experience with NIST SP 800-53 control implementation and assessment
- Experience developing and maintaining SSPs
- Experience in classified or secure environments
- Relevant certifications (Security+, CISSP, CISM, CISA)
