Responsibilities
- Actively monitor company networks and systems for security breaches, intrusions, and other cyber threats.
- Analyse and respond to security alerts, leading incident response and investigation efforts to mitigate risks.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and risk analyses to identify and address potential security weaknesses.
- Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, data encryption solutions, and access controls.
- Contribute to the development and enforcement of company-wide security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on security incidents, system status, and emerging threats to management.
- Stay informed on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to continuously improve our organisation's security posture.
- Collaborate with the wider IT team and other departments to ensure security is a core component of all business operations.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is required.
- Demonstrable experience working in a cybersecurity analyst, security engineer, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of security principles, network protocols, and modern IT infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and vulnerability management platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to identifying and resolving security issues.
- Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP are highly regarded.
- Experience with cloud security environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) and familiarity with industry compliance frameworks like NIST or ISO 27001 would be a significant advantage.
- Previous experience within the real estate or financial services industry is beneficial but not essential.
