About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Cybersecurity Analyst II to join our team in a full-time remote capacity, preferably based in Montana or neighboring states. In this role, you will work closely with the Chief Information Officer (CIO) to safeguard the organization’s IT infrastructure against evolving security threats. Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security alerts and incidents to identify potential threats
• Respond promptly to security breaches and perform root cause analysis to determine underlying issues
• Implement remediation strategies to address vulnerabilities and enhance security posture
• Manage and configure cybersecurity tools and systems to ensure optimal performance
• Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify areas for improvement
• Maintain compliance with industry standards such as NIST, FIPS, and PCI-DSS
• Ensure all systems are up-to-date with the latest patches and security updates
• Educate and train staff on cybersecurity best practices and organizational policies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement security policies and procedures
• Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats and industry developments to proactively defend organizational assets

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in cybersecurity or related roles (preferred)
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, network security, and risk management
• Experience with cybersecurity tools and technologies such as SIEM, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and vulnerability scanners
• Knowledge of compliance standards including NIST, FIPS, PCI-DSS, and other relevant frameworks
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
