About the Role
As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will be an integral part of our organization's information security team, safeguarding our systems and data against cyber threats. This role involves monitoring and analyzing security incidents, implementing protective measures, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain a robust cybersecurity posture. You will play a vital role in identifying and mitigating security risks to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our information assets.
Responsibilities
- Threat Detection and Monitoring:
- Monitor security alerts and events to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Analyze security incidents, conduct investigations, and provide timely response and resolution.
- Implement and manage security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
- Incident Response and Management:
- Develop and execute incident response plans to address security incidents promptly.
- Collaborate with IT teams to contain and mitigate the impact of security breaches.
- Conduct post-incident analysis and recommend improvements to prevent future occurrences.
- Vulnerability Assessment and Management:
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments on systems and applications.
- Coordinate with system owners to remediate identified vulnerabilities.
- Stay updated on emerging threats and vulnerabilities to proactively address potential risks.
- Security Policy and Compliance:
- Enforce and enhance information security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance on security best practices to ensure a secure operating environment.
- Security Awareness and Training:
- Develop and deliver cybersecurity awareness programs for employees.
- Provide training on security protocols and best practices.
- Foster a culture of security awareness throughout the organization.
- Security Technology Implementation:
- Assist in the evaluation, implementation, and management of cybersecurity technologies.
- Configure and maintain security tools, including firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security measures into system development and maintenance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a cybersecurity or information security role.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, systems, and applications.
- Proficient in security incident response and management.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or CompTIA Security+.
- Experience with enterprise-scale security tools.
- Familiarity with cloud security principles and practices.
- Knowledge of penetration testing and ethical hacking techniques.
- Ability to stay current with the evolving cybersecurity landscape.
