Responsibilities

  • Engage with members of the PMO to provide schedule and milestone status and provide risk assessment/escalation.
  • Participate in regular meetings and reporting activities with customer stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the program's Chief Engineer on solution development to ensure compliance and best practices
  • Contribute to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents
  • Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure the delivery of production systems that are compatible with the defined system architecture(s) – Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), etc.
  • Participate in establishing and gaining approval of the definition of a system or component under development (requirements, designs, interfaces, test procedures, etc) that provides a common reference point for hardware and software developers
  • Provide technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of specific components of complex hardware/software systems to include requirements elicitation, analysis and functional allocation, conducting system requirements reviews, developing concepts of operation and interface standards, developing system architectures, and performing technical/non-technical assessment and management as well as end-to-end flow analysis
  • Provide technical services assistance to government engineers in the creation, updating and management of system product line standards and databases

Qualifications

Fourteen (14) years experience as a SE Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. Candidate must possess active US Security clearance with a polygraph.

Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $135,700.00 - $251,900.00

Please note that the salary information listed is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills as well as market (work location) and business considerations when extending an offer.

Schedule

Flexible schedules are available, with options such as 4x10 hour workweeks. For Washington state applicants, non-represented full-time employees accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons, and receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full-time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month, accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually, and receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
