Cyber Systems Administrator
About the Role
Serco is seeking a Cyber Systems Administrator to support the DMOC-IDE team at the 705th CTS. This role combines hands-on systems administration with vulnerability management, ensuring Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems remain secure, compliant, and mission-ready for Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) training environments.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Windows Server and RHEL systems in a classified environment
- Manage Active Directory, user access, group policy, and system permissions
- Review and apply system hardening and compliance
- Execute and validate patch management across OS and applications; track and report compliance status
- Maintain and update POA&Ms, supporting remediation timelines and risk prioritization
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and ensure performance and availability
- Support backup/recovery operations and maintain system integrity
- Collaborate with cybersecurity and engineering teams to implement secure configurations and changes
- Install and maintain hardware, software, virtualization, and VTC systems
- Document system configurations, vulnerabilities, and remediation actions
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree
- DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification (Security+ or equivalent)
- Experience with Tier 1 service desk operations and ticketing workflows
- Experience with Windows Server administration (AD DS, Group Policies)
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or Linux variant
- Basic Systems & Network Administration, and Cybersecurity fundamentals
- Experience with DISA STIG compliance and patching
- Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
Desired Skills
- Familiarity with Proxmox or VMware (ESXi/vCenter) or other hybrid environments
- Automation/scripting/coding (PowerShell, JavaScript, Ansible)
- Experience supporting classified or LVC training environments
- Knowledge of configuration management and system hardening best practices

Pay
The salary range for this position is provided as a general guideline and represents a good faith estimate across all experience levels. Actual base salary will be determined by factors including scope of the role, relevant experience, job-related knowledge, education and training, key skills, and geographic market considerations. For roles available in multiple states, the range may vary to reflect differences in local labor markets. Eligible positions may also include annual bonuses or long-term incentive opportunities.
