About the role

The client is seeking an experienced IT and Cybersecurity Project Manager to lead application and identity access control initiatives from kickoff through implementation, delivering secure and governed project outcomes for the organization.

You will serve as the primary point of contact for project-related activities, interfacing with Business Unit Leaders, Finance, and IT organizations, and align project deliverables to intended outcomes with support from the Cybersecurity Leadership Team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end implementation of small to medium cybersecurity projects, including IAM, access governance, PAM, and application controls initiatives.
  • Manage project risks, issues, and interdependencies, escalating appropriately to stakeholders and cybersecurity leadership.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, financial performance metrics, and ROI and IRR measures in coordination with Finance.
  • Coordinate stakeholder communications, sponsor reporting, and escalation throughout the full project lifecycle.
  • Monitor overall project progress daily, adhering to program and project governance controls.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of total project management experience, with 3 or more years managing cybersecurity or IAM initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience personally leading at least one IAM, access governance, PAM, application controls, or identity modernization project from kickoff through implementation.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Recognized project management certification such as PMP, Prince2, or an Agile certification.
  • Experience working with project and business management tools including Visio, MS Project, Excel, SharePoint, MS Teams, and MS PowerBI.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycles including Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall, and Iterative methodologies.
  • Strong facilitation, negotiation, collaboration, and presentation skills with sponsor-level escalation experience.

Pay

$60–70/hour
