About the Role
ProRecruiters is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to join a growing and dynamic team. This role involves ensuring compliance with DOT and OSHA health, safety, and environmental requirements while developing a working knowledge of pipeline system operation, controls system design, and company processes.
Responsibilities
- Follow safety philosophy and procedures, including environmental, health, and safety rules, use of personal protective equipment, and reporting workplace hazards.
- Monitor and develop reports and analyses on user accounts and security updates for all I&C OT systems.
- Identify obsolete equipment, Operating Systems, and software; research alternatives and perform upgrades or installations at field locations.
- Monitor, evaluate, and maintain systems; develop documentation of policies and procedures to protect data systems and databases from unauthorized users.
- Research, recommend, and implement changes to procedures and systems to enhance data systems security and address vulnerabilities found during assessments.
- Develop and maintain documentation of network management systems, network topologies, infrastructure diagrams, hardware assets, Microsoft and Rockwell software licenses, and Autosol ACM licenses.
- Utilize Microsoft PowerShell to make mass security changes to HMI and Engineering PC configurations, automate PC patching, and perform other processes as needed.
- Collaborate with the corporate IT Cyber Security Team on company policies, procedures, and standards; develop reports and lead implementation of updates.
- Participate in internal and external auditing for regulatory and compliance; work with other business units in the organization.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of prior experience in system administration, networking, and OT systems.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field with specialized training in networking and communication systems.
- Certification such as CompTIA is preferred.
- Ability to actively engage in safe behavior and follow pipeline and workplace safety principles.
- Knowledge of emergency and safety procedures, policies, equipment operating parameters, and applicable DOT, EPA, FERC, DHS, and OSHA requirements.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, IIS, PowerShell, and PC Operating System configuration.
- Knowledge of firewall and network security, IDS (intrusion detection systems), and network management tools.
- Knowledge of TSA cybersecurity requirements and regulations for pipelines.
- Skill in project management with the ability to manage, track, and analyze information.
- Ability to effectively work and cooperate with supervisors, co-workers, and vendors.
