Responsibilities

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate system security threats/risks throughout a system’s lifecycle.
  • Validate system security requirements and formulate/maintain documentation for system certification and accreditation activities (planning, testing, assessing, and coordinating).
  • Select and implement security controls, ensure timely completion of accreditation packages, formulate and implement mitigations, and maintain the security posture of systems.
  • Provide accurate technical evaluations of system equipment, software applications, full systems, or networks, documenting security posture, capabilities, and vulnerabilities against applicable NIST controls.
  • Design, interpret, and build models within MagicDraw/Cameo.
  • Assist in leading cybersecurity process/tool improvements.
  • Monitor and evaluate a system's compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) security, resilience, and dependability requirements, including performing validation steps, comparing actual results with expected results, and analyzing differences to identify impact and risks at the software application, system, and network levels.
  • Work with the team to provide solutions and ensure continued functionality of systems within the DoD RMF Framework.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate degree (Engineering, IT, or Cyber-related field).
  • Meet DoDD 8140 Systems Security Analyst-Basic compliance.
  • 3+ years of experience with implementing and evaluating DoD STIG requirements, NIST RMF, IAVMs, and Cybersecurity assessment tools (ACAS, Nessus, SCC, STIG Viewer).
  • Knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and NIST security controls.
  • Knowledge of information system architecture and standards as they apply to cybersecurity.
  • Experience with Confluence and Jira.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% per year.
  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Must possess and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering, IT, or Cyber-related field).
  • Top Secret, SCI-eligible security clearance.
  • Experience in a DoD security environment.
  • Scrum Master or Product Owner experience.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment supporting a diverse customer base (program managers, engineers, analysts, specialists, and technicians).
  • Strong attention to detail.
