Cyber Security Defense Functional Lead

About the role

The expected hiring range for this position is: $88,800.00-$116,900.00. Please note that the pay range information is a general guideline only. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such the scope and responsibilities of the position, qualifications of the selected candidate, business considerations, internal equity, and external market pay for comparable jobs.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical and functional leadership for cyber security projects, initiatives, and program activities.
• Translates program and security objectives into technical requirements, methodologies, timelines, and deliverables.
• Cross-functionally coordinates with analysts, engineers, stakeholders, and external partners.
• Identifies, analyzes, and resolves complex issues affecting project success, security posture, or timelines.
• Maintains awareness of cyber security trends, tools, platforms, and methodologies and evaluates their applicability to the program.
• Develops and contributes to technical documentation, reports, and presentations.
• Safeguards organizational policies, regulatory requirements, safety practices, and quality standards.
• Contributes to leadership decisions regarding risks, opportunities, and future cyber security capabilities.

Requirements

• High school diploma with 5+ years of cyber security experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor of Computer Science or a related field with 3+ years of cyber security experience.

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of software development practices using a modern high-level language.
• Strong understanding of cyber security concepts.
• Excellent communication skills.
