Job Title: Cyber Security Contractor Location/ Work Structure: Northern Kentucky Compensation: $45-$55/hr. What You'll Do:Manage workstation security — implement and maintain workstation management tools, MDM security policies, remote access technologies, and perform NAC rogue and atRisk managementEvaluate, recommend, and implement security, logging, and analysis tools; manage patching and license monitoring for cybersecurity-related platformsOversee cloud environments including M365, Azure, and Amazon cloud services, including firewall and remote access managementReview, investigate, and respond to real-time security alerts within the environmentMentor and support the cybersecurity team, providing guidance, training, and task oversight to drive quality and timelinessCompile monthly compliance reports (e.g., percentage of workstations patched) and communicate cybersecurity best practices to IT and ministry staffMonitor online resources for new and emerging cyber threats and translate findings into actionable stepsWhat Experience You'll Have:Hands-on experience with the Fortinet stack — Fortigate, FortiNAC, and FortiClient — including VPN and firewall managementProficiency with endpoint and identity tools including ThreatLocker, IronScales, Entra ID/Active Directory, and EndPoint CentralExperience managing and securing cloud environments — Microsoft 365, Azure, and/or AWSWorkstation imaging experience for both PC and Mac platformsAbility to work onsite in Northern Kentucky with Friday availability requiredWhat Experience is Nice to Have:Prior experience in a staff leadership or mentoring role within a cybersecurity teamFamiliarity with compliance reporting and security metrics trackingExperience working in a nonprofit, faith-based, or mission-driven organizationThe Vernovis Difference: Vernovis offers Health, Dental, Vision, Voluntary Short & Long -Term Disability, Voluntary Life Insurance, and 401K.
