About the role

Recruiters post a role once and receive a daily shortlist of top-matched candidates automatically, without job boards, searching, or fees. Job seekers upload a resume once, and PPLIED matches and applies to real roles on their behalf, with interested recruiters reaching out directly. The platform removes the need for applications and cover letters while remaining free for all users. PPLIED focuses on solving hiring challenges efficiently, connecting talent and opportunity through a single streamlined platform.
Responsibilities
- Monitor security events, analyze logs, and investigate suspicious activity across applications and networks
- Perform vulnerability assessments and support secure application development practices
- Assist with incident response activities, including remediation and documentation
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to improve security controls
- Update security policies and procedures
- Stay current with emerging threats and security best practices
- Contribute to continuous improvement of PPLIED's security posture to maintain trust and safety for all platform users
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Cybersecurity fundamentals and proven analytical skills to assess risks, interpret security data, and make informed decisions
- Experience with Application Security practices, including secure coding principles, vulnerability identification, and remediation for web and cloud-based platforms
- Proficiency in Network Security, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, and network monitoring tools
- Hands-on experience with Malware Analysis, threat detection, and incident investigation using relevant tools and frameworks
- Familiarity with security standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, OWASP) and common SIEM and endpoint protection solutions
- Ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively in a remote environment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Qualifications
- Relevant certifications such as Security+, CEH, CISSP, or GIAC are beneficial
