Responsibilities

• Monitor security events, analyze logs, and investigate suspicious activity across applications and networks
• Perform vulnerability assessments and support secure application development practices
• Assist with incident response activities, including remediation and documentation
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to improve security controls
• Update security policies and procedures
• Stay current with emerging threats and security best practices
• Contribute to continuous improvement of PPLIED's security posture to maintain trust and safety for all platform users

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Cybersecurity fundamentals and proven analytical skills to assess risks, interpret security data, and make informed decisions
• Experience with Application Security practices, including secure coding principles, vulnerability identification, and remediation for web and cloud-based platforms
• Proficiency in Network Security, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, and network monitoring tools
• Hands-on experience with Malware Analysis, threat detection, and incident investigation using relevant tools and frameworks
• Familiarity with security standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, OWASP) and common SIEM and endpoint protection solutions
• Ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively in a remote environment
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Qualifications

• Relevant certifications such as Security+, CEH, CISSP, or GIAC are beneficial
