About the role
The Zscaler Engineer Senior plays a crucial role in protecting our network infrastructure by overseeing the implementation, management, and optimization of Zscaler security solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage Zscaler security solutions to protect our network infrastructure.
- Monitor and manage security configurations for Zscaler services.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits of network environments.
- Collaborate with IT and network teams to ensure secure deployment and management of network resources.
- Respond to and investigate security incidents and breaches involving Zscaler solutions.
- Implement and manage security policies and configurations within the Zscaler platform.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2).
- Provide guidance and training to internal teams on Zscaler security best practices.
- Keep current with Zscaler security trends, threats, and technologies.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of Zscaler security solutions, including Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA).
- Proficiency in configuring, managing, and optimizing Zscaler services.
- Knowledge of network security best practices and industry standards.
- Ability to implement and manage security controls in network environments.
- Understanding of network security principles and practices.
- Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network segmentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent documentation skills, including the creation of procedures, process documentation, and user documentation related to IAM applications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Minimum of [3] years of experience in network security or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of Zscaler security solutions and their features.
- Experience with network security tools and technologies.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2).
- Strong understanding of network security, identity and access management, and encryption.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Relevant certifications such as Zscaler Certified Cloud Professional (ZCCP), CISSP, or equivalent are a plus.

Pay
The base salary range for this role in the US is $104,800 to $192,200. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $125,800 to $218,500. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.
