About the role

The Zscaler Engineer Manager at EY will oversee the implementation, management, and optimization of Zscaler security solutions within the organization. This role involves working closely with various teams to ensure the security and performance of the network infrastructure, conducting risk assessments, and responding to security incidents.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Zscaler security solutions to protect the network infrastructure.
• Monitor and manage security configurations for Zscaler services.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits of network environments.
• Collaborate with IT and network teams to ensure secure deployment and management of network resources.
• Respond to and investigate security incidents and breaches involving Zscaler solutions.
• Implement and manage security policies and configurations within the Zscaler platform.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2).
• Provide guidance and training to internal teams on Zscaler security best practices.
• Stay up to date with the latest Zscaler security trends, threats, and technologies.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network security or a related role.
• Deep understanding of Zscaler security solutions, including Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA).
• Proficiency in configuring, managing, and optimizing Zscaler services.
• Knowledge of network security best practices and industry standards.
• Ability to implement and manage security controls in network environments.
• Understanding of network security principles and practices.
• Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network segmentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent documentation skills, including the creation of procedures, process documentation, and user documentation related to IAM applications.

Skills and Attributes

• Strong knowledge of Zscaler security solutions and their features.
• Experience with network security tools and technologies.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2).
• Strong understanding of network security, identity and access management, and encryption.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Relevant certifications such as Zscaler Certified Cloud Professional (ZCCP), CISSP, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of cloud-based security solutions and experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• In-depth knowledge of Zscaler architecture, deployment, and configuration.
• Strong understanding of network security principles, including firewalls, VPNs, and network segmentation.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation and configuration management.

Pay

The base salary range for this role in the US is $144,900 to $265,800. The base salary range for the New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento) is $173,900 to $302,100. Individual salaries within these ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
