Roles & Responsibilities

  • Recruiting and hiring top talent in partnership with MITRE’s Talent Acquisition team.
  • Mentoring and onboarding cyber new professionals to the workforce, MITRE, and our culture and values.
  • Establishing a strong cohort experience among the CNP members, so that members will have a personal network of peers throughout their MITRE careers.
  • Exposing the new professionals to a diverse set of MITRE’s capabilities and challenges across multiple sponsors and technical divisions, including through structured project rotations.
  • Developing the workforce in this extremely fast-evolving field through state-of-the-art training and the establishment of mentors.
  • Partnering with MITRE programs to connect and leverage MTE entry level staff to increase mission impact.
  • Fostering an environment of innovation, technical leadership, collaboration, camaraderie, and quality across the department’s wide geography.
  • Supporting, managing, and partnering with Group Leaders to mentor and grow members, ensure staff are aligned to high priority work that leverages their strengths, recognize staff for their accomplishments, develop all staff into high performers, and lead pay and performance actions throughout the year.
  • Contributing to the direct work program with responsibilities and contributions commensurate with high performance senior technical staff.
  • Evolving the CNP program to increase its attractiveness, effectiveness, and efficiency.
  • Ensuring high technical quality of work products.
  • Effective execution and budget management.

Basic Qualifications

  • Business/managerial experience and recognition, combined with broad technical expertise in critical infrastructure protection, defense, intelligence analysis and deterrence.
  • Minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 10 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 7 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in solving technical cyber-physical challenges across multiple domains.
  • Proven track record of identifying, hiring, coaching and, cultivating junior talent.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, develop, and oversee a portion of the Division’s strategic resource outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, collaborate, and develop close, trusted advisor relationships with sponsors, internal stakeholders, and business-area counterparts.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively at high levels within a matrixed organization, as well as across partner and potential customer organizations.
  • Successful experience driving delivery of specific sponsor technical outcomes through effective work program execution.
  • A minimum of 4 days a week on-site.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A graduate degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Previous experience in technical development of new professionals.
  • Experience with defining work programs, oversight of KPI’s, and execution of strategic outcomes.
  • Experience supporting DoW, DHS, and/or Intelligence Community sponsors and passion for supporting these missions.
  • An active TS//SCI clearance with current polygraph is preferred.
