Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Cyber Intelligence Operations Analyst to support a government organization focused on defending and securing critical Department of Defense networks and cyber operations. This position is onsite and supports a dedicated weekend shift team.
About the role
Join a mission-focused team responsible for enhancing cyber situational awareness and supporting the defense of critical national security infrastructure. The Cyber Intelligence Operations Analyst will provide intelligence-driven cyber defense support by analyzing threats, vulnerabilities, adversary activity, and operational trends across DoD networks.
Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and produce intelligence on cyber threats, vulnerabilities, adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
- Support defensive cyber operations by providing intelligence analysis for cyber protection teams, readiness inspections, and operational missions.
- Conduct open-source intelligence (OSINT) research and correlate intelligence reporting with vulnerability and threat data.
- Monitor, analyze, and assess cyber events using security monitoring and threat detection tools while identifying trends and emerging threats.
- Develop situational awareness reports, intelligence briefings, and operational products for leadership and cyber operations teams.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience supporting Cyber Operations Centers (SOC), cyber intelligence, network defense, threat intelligence, or related cybersecurity environments.
- Experience utilizing Splunk, IDS/IPS platforms, packet analysis tools such as Wireshark, and other cyber monitoring technologies.
- Strong understanding of cyber threat analysis, intelligence-driven defense methodologies, network security concepts, and incident analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline preferred; additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- CompTIA Security+ certification required.
- Active DoD TS/SCI Clearance required with eligibility for a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
- Ability to support a weekend shift schedule (Friday–Sunday, 1620–0530).
Pay
Salary Range: $120,000 – $145,000 depending on experience.
