Tyonek is seeking individuals to instruct Military and Government Civilian students in Defensive Cyber Operations skills. Instructors must pass the course they are hired to teach (2–9 weeks in length), complete a 2-week Instructor Methodology Course, and maintain qualification through ongoing evaluations. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities
- Instruct lessons in the assigned course, typically team-taught with 1 primary and 2–3 supporting instructors to facilitate student labs.
- Maintain in-depth subject matter expertise to retain instructor qualification.
- Develop new and/or update existing lessons as assigned.
- Work may be split into two shifts: "S" shift (0700–1600) or "T" shift (1500–0001). Shift preference will be considered where possible.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of an Associate's degree in a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in Cyber Warfare or Defensive Cyber Operations.
- IAT/M Level II certification required.
- AF Cyber Weapon System experience and/or Cyber Protection Team experience preferred.
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
- Desired certifications: GNFA, GCIH, GSEC, CISSP, CASP, Sec+.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods, including on level and inclined surfaces.
- Routine climbing/descending of stairs.
- Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds.
- Routine grasping, handling, and finger dexterity; bending elbows/knees; reaching above/below shoulders.
- Works in a normal office environment with controlled temperature and lighting.
