About the role
Cyber Infrastructure Engineer - Collins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies company, seeks a skilled Cyber Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Largo, FL. This role involves managing and maintaining the physical and virtual infrastructure, performing maintenance operations, and supporting security audits.
Responsibilities
- Account for power consumption and cooling load in a datacenter
- Work with HVAC and Electrical facilities personnel on site
- Configure, manage, and maintain the physical and virtual infrastructure
- Perform required maintenance operations of several VMware virtual infrastructures
- Implement and maintain ESXi, VM, and vCenter DISA STIGs
- Install, configure, and integrate servers associated with a VMware virtual infrastructure
- Implement backups, troubleshoot, and resolve server issues
- Create highly available server clusters in a vSphere environment
- Build and configure virtual networks
- Document, test, and implement virtual services and devices
- Assess and evaluate current virtual computing infrastructure and provide recommendations for enhancements
- Create and maintain VM templates for rapid deployment
- Create and defend system change requests
- Manage user requests for assistance, application installation, and upgrades
- Maintain, configure, and operate secure computer systems, network servers, and switches
- Troubleshoot hardware and software errors, document problems and resolutions, and assess impact of issues
- Create documentation of all work performed to capture configuration and installation procedures
- Support security staff in compliance and vulnerability audits of computer systems, implementing security remediation, and during accreditation events
Requirements
- Active and transferable Top Secret U.S. government issued security clearance with SCI eligibility
- Must be able to attain and maintain a DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ or CISSP preferred)
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
- Experience with datacenter power, cooling load calculation planning, supporting datacenter thermal inspection, Microsoft Windows Server environment to include but not limited to Active Directory, DNS and Group policy, and Linux basics
- Understanding of network engineering fundamentals, including: OSI layers, IP addressing, sub-netting, TCP/IP stack, VLANs, DHCP, etc.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and applications as required
- Demonstrated experience implementing computer security
- Ability to adapt both an offensive and defensive mindset to support securing information systems, quickly switch tasks based on changing priorities, work with limited supervision, work with an extremely risk adverse customer and their policies, and be a self-starter with initiative

- A strong understanding and knowledge of computer, network, and security systems
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well independently under limited oversight, be self-directed, and prioritize work

Pay
The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD.
