Cyber Fusion Analyst

This position is on-site in Fort Meade, MD, supporting a company focused on providing enterprise cyber defense, network operations, and threat intelligence for critical Department of Defense missions.

About the role

Join a mission-focused team responsible for defending critical DoD networks against advanced cyber threats and adversary activity. The Cyber Fusion Analyst will support cyber defense operations through incident handling, threat detection, network analysis, intelligence-driven investigations, and vulnerability assessment activities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze network traffic, logs, netflow, IDS/IPS alerts, and full packet capture (PCAP) data to identify malicious activity and cyber threats.
• Conduct incident triage, threat hunting, compromise assessments, and cyber intelligence analysis to support enterprise security operations.
• Research and analyze adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), providing actionable recommendations for mitigation and defense.
• Leverage threat intelligence, OSINT, vulnerability information, and security tools to identify risks and improve the organization's security posture.
• Develop reports, metrics, dashboards, and situational awareness products to communicate cyber threats and trends to stakeholders.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Cyber Operations, Security Operations Center (SOC), Cyber Threat Intelligence, Incident Response, or Network Defense environments.
• Experience with Splunk, Wireshark, IDS/IPS platforms, PCAP analysis, TCP/IP networking, OSI model concepts, and SIEM technologies.
• Strong understanding of cyber threats, adversary methodologies, vulnerability analysis, threat intelligence, and network security monitoring.
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Intelligence Studies, or a related field; additional experience may be substituted for education.
• Active TS/SCI Security Clearance and Security+ certification (or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification).
