About the role

The Information Security team is looking for a certified security professional to join our fast-paced, collaborative, and diverse team of talent. Our mission is to provide operationally excellent next-generation information security event monitoring, threat hunting, and incident response services that protect Blue Shield from adverse cyber events.

Responsibilities

  • Act as an escalation-point and/or with cross-functional teams in regard to high-impact cyber security threat intelligence and analysis, defense platform management, incident response, emergency containment, investigations and forensics, and/or cyber assurance red team penetration testing.
  • Provide advanced thought leadership regarding escalated cyber security threats, incidents, investigations, tools/services, and/or cyber defense sub-function program management.
  • Represent Stellarus IT Security in communications with business units and corporate functions in connection with Cyber Defense portfolio/scope.
  • Deliver expert delivery of cyber security monitoring, incident response, defense platform management, investigations and/or cyber assurance red team penetration testing.
  • Be responsible for root cause analysis and translating into actionable continuous improvement opportunities to reduce risk and improve effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Broad knowledge of information assurance (IA) principles and organizational requirements that are relevant to confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Requires deep knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
  • Typically, viewed as a specialist within discipline.
  • May have broad knowledge of project management.
  • Typically, requires a college degree or equivalent experience and minimum 7 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Security Architecture.
  • CISSP-ISSAP preferred.
  • Red team experience.
  • Certified Ethical Hacker preferred.

Pay

Pay Range for California: $123,090.00 to $184,800.00
Pay Range for Bay Area: $138,756.00 to $208,320.00

Schedule

This role requires employees to be in-office based on our hybrid workplace model, balancing purposeful in-person collaboration with flexibility. For most teams, this means coming into the office two days each week. Employees living more than 50 miles from an office location will work with their manager to determine in-office time based on business need.
