Our client is an American computer software company that offers a wide range of programs, including web design tools, photo manipulation, vector creation, video/audio editing, mobile app development, print layout, and animation software.
About the role
This 12-month contract position is based in Lehi, UT, with the potential to convert to full-time employment. The role follows a hybrid schedule: 2 days in the office (Wednesday and Thursday) and 3 days remote, working Wednesday through Saturday, 10 hours per day (8 am – 6 pm) for a total of 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and respond to alerts from various sources, conducting investigations to identify indicators of compromise.
- Perform event correlation using information gathered from various enterprise sources to gain situational awareness.
- Coordinate with CSIRT team members on containment and response activities.
- Maintain meticulous case management, ensuring all investigative actions are properly documented to support dispositions.
- Participate in rotational opportunities across the CSIRT, including incident response, cyber threat hunting, and detection engineering.
- Engage in case reviews and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in investigations, documentation, and automation.
- Stay informed about emerging threats and attack vectors while maintaining expertise in the dynamic cyber landscape.
- Collaborate as an active member of a global 24x7 cyber defensive operations team, which may require some weekend coverage.
- Assist in creating, updating, and maintaining investigative process documentation to ensure consistency and efficiency.
Requirements
- Experience in conducting cybersecurity investigations or related activities.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Familiarity with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems and a broad set of security tools and investigation-supporting datasets.
- Understanding of security and privacy fundamentals.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative outlook that seeks to build and cultivate relationships.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Work Authorization
US Citizenship or Green Card required.
Pay
$40.00 – $45.77/hour on W2.
