Job Description
Standish Compliance Services, LLC (Standish Compliance) is a subsidiary of Standish Management, providing specialized fund administration services for private equity, real estate, venture capital, and fund-of-funds managers. For new General Partners, we offer consulting services to help launch their funds, and for established partners, we provide administration services and technology to scale their operations.
Responsibilities
- Take a lead role in growing and managing Standish Compliance’s cybersecurity service.
- Work with the operations and client service teams to organize, execute, and deliver exceptional compliance services, interacting with clients during meetings and calls.
- Contribute to the tech-enablement of new and existing processes.
- Collaborate with client teams to update, process, and track compliance calendars, testing activities, employee compliance reporting, to monitor adherence to policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Support and assist other team members across the firm to ensure exceptional, proactive client service and prompt responses to client requests and inquiries.
- Administer and execute specific projects, conduct SEC regulatory and enforcement case research, and perform other compliance tasks.
- Liaise with the internal and external IT team to address office technology issues.
- Work closely with the team to continuously learn about the private fund industry, clients' businesses, and compliance programs, as well as regulatory and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
- Interest in the investment management and private fund industry, regulatory and compliance environment, and technology implementation.
- Excellent communication skills, proactive diligence, and collaborative work ethic.
- Strong working knowledge of cybersecurity and strong proficiency in information technology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn new software and systems as needed.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting multiple team members and client service teams, utilizing effective time/task management to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to handle confidential information and work with limited supervision.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to develop and manage Excel spreadsheets, organize, analyze data and information.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks in a timely manner, seeking additional clarification and guidance as needed.
- Ability to proactively identify tasks and projects to provide a high level of service.
- Ability to take initiative and responsibility for completing tasks without being instructed.
- Ability to quickly switch between clients and stay organized and focused.
