Job Description

We are seeking a candidate to serve as a Cyber Action Officer. This role involves organizing correspondence and drafting executive-level materials. The position requires strong communication skills and a foundational understanding of cyber risk assessment. The ideal candidate will be proficient with modern collaboration tools and knowledge management practices.

  • Leverage collaboration forums, including MS Teams applications, planners, and Power BI, for knowledge management and to enhance team delivery.
  • Support cybersecurity risk assessments and supply chain risk management efforts.
  • Provide an operational understanding of cybersecurity programs.
  • Facilitate meetings, including working groups and conferences, and manage associated pre and post-meeting activities.
  • Support coordination and staffing processes and tools.

Requirements

The position requires a minimum of five years of experience in services for the Federal government or Federal advising within a professional work environment. A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics, physics, or a similar field is required. This may be supplemented with an additional four years of relevant experience. An Associate's Degree or no degree requires nine years of total experience.

  • Knowledge of NIST 800 series publications.
  • Knowledge of Joint instructions and manuals.
  • Knowledge of policy around non-traditional IT Cybersecurity, including ICT-SCRM and C-SCRM.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience briefing and collaborating with executive or senior leadership.
  • Experience as an Action Officer in a military or government setting.

The anticipated salary for this position is between $100,000 and $105,000.
