CX Engineering Team Lead
About the role
The Engineering Team Lead, QA/QC is responsible for creating complete project QA/QC plans, resourcing plans, and QA/QC budgets/proposals based on a clear understanding of the owner, facility and equipment design requirements. This includes sequenced activities, schedules, and documents, as well as conducting on-site/job site training, coaching, and auditing of job site QA/QC activities.
Responsibilities
- Develops and improves QA/QC processes, systems, and standard documents that interface with Estimating, Engineering, BIM, Detailing, Prefabrication, and Construction processes and activities.
- Becomes well versed in the quality requirements, quality expectations, and specifications for specific strategic clients and projects.
- Provides guidance to project managers, the Director of Quality and Commissioning, and the Field Operations Leader on strategic client specific quality requirements.
- Supports project engineers and project teams with timelines and client/project specific requirements.
- Creates relational data sets such as equipment list, equipment group, feeders, feeder schedule and commissioning class from project construction drawings, electrical specifications and submittals.
- Outlines, guides, and mentors team of engineers. Ensures that detailed procedures, checklists and QA/QC plans are accurate and appropriate for the task.
- Designs new QA/QC programs by analyzing requirements, constructing workflow charts and diagrams, to evaluate output requirements and formats.
- Provides guidance to office and field teams to ensure construction activities comply with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
- Develops written QA/QC Work Scope and Estimates in accordance with RFP's.
- Led the development of systems, strategies and plans to achieve project QA/QC requirements.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering Technology Degree
- Experience: 8 years of related experience. Experience working with Hyperscale data center construction, electrical construction, and/or managing of small teams preferred.

- Education: Associate of Science in Electrical Engineering or Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering Technology Degree
- Experience: 12 years of related experience. Experience working with Hyperscale data center construction, electrical construction, and/or managing of small teams preferred.
Qualifications
- Understanding and experience in data center construction is a requirement and ideally have the ability to understand one-lines, schematics & drawings and have knowledge of electrical terminology and components.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Schedule
Typical work hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.
