About the role

The CVOR Surgical Assistant is responsible for assisting in the preparation of patients for surgery, managing surgical instruments, and maintaining sterile environments. This position requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for surgery by ensuring they are comfortable and informed about the procedure.
• Maintains a sterile environment by following strict infection control protocols.
• Assists surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies.
• Ensures all equipment is functioning properly before and during surgeries.
• Collaborates with other members of the surgical team to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of relevant experience in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of surgical techniques and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
