About the Role

Act as the lead in the absence of the Supervisor, ensuring accuracy in SAP at all times. Perform at least three of the following functions: RTS (Return to Stock), stockroom, cycle counts, WIP support, shipping, receiving inspection, or receiving. Reconcile inventory variances, adjust accordingly, and report line record accuracy to the Supervisor and Manager. Occasionally act as a liaison between Production Control, Production Management, and the Production line for inventory or shortage issues.

Responsibilities

• Stockroom / RTS:
  • Put material away in stockrooms using RF scanners in SAP and verify transactions.
  • Pull and split kits as required using the system base kit pull procedure.
  • Scan kits to the G drive and pull shortages to ensure completeness.
  • Count all material returning from the line to ensure system accuracy.
  • Maintain box build areas organized and keep kanbans full of material.
• Receiving:
  • Validate carton count against bill of lading and match packing to each lot material, noting exceptions.
  • Sign for all material delivered to the receiving dock after validation.
  • Validate purchase order, part number, quantity, and supplier, then complete receipt to dock for production materials using the system.
  • Perform de-trash shipments to eliminate trash in the stockroom or production line.
• Receiving Inspection:
  • Follow inspection plans and special instructions for incoming material.
  • Verify packing slip, receipt, and inventory quantities before passing inspection.
  • Perform SAP transactions to move material to floor or other locations.
  • Perform inventory adjustments (direct withdraw).
  • Obtain and maintain Quality Control Inspection certification based on IPC’s Standard-A-610.
• Shipping:
  • Understand shipping procedures and documentation for domestic and international shipments.
  • Schedule or manage transportation carriers using Jabil or customer carriers, following corporate guidelines.
  • Accurately and safely perform physical movements, systems transactions, and verifications.
  • Support work cells during month-end until all shipments are completed, which may require extended hours.
  • Operate material handling equipment as needed.
• Physical and system movement of material within Operations.
• Cycle counting of any area.
• Complete material disposition report forms.
• Accurately backflush material in the ERP system.

Qualifications

• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Proficiency in operating a personal computer with a Windows-based operating system and related software.
• Advanced PC skills, including knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and understand visual aids.
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
• Ability to handle standardized situations with occasional or no variables.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
