CVD Technician - Swing

Responsibilities

• Load and Unload CVD furnaces without supervision.
• Tear out and Re-line CVD furnaces without supervision.
• Provide limited furnace maintenance, including replacement of insulation, heating elements, and other components.
• Maintain and operate CVD furnaces during coating operations.
• Operate and/or shut down CVD furnaces during emergency situations (e.g., power loss, acts of nature).
• Perform minor preventative maintenance to various pieces of equipment (e.g., oil changes, filter changes, valve replacements, etc.).
• Operate equipment for grinding graphite and/or silicon carbide (e.g., lathe, drill press, surface grinder, etc.).
• Examine job orders to determine quantities, specifications, and special instructions.
• Safely operate forklifts to transport hazardous chemicals.
• Install and uninstall hazardous chemicals into tanks.
• Identify and troubleshoot quality concerns during the production process.
• Wear required personal protective equipment at all times in areas where it is mandatory.

Requirements

• Shift: Swing: Monday - Thursday: 3:00pm - 1:00am (10 hour shifts)
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience: 1-2 years in a manufacturing environment

Qualifications

• Understanding of reactor operation methods (start up, shut down)
• Knowledge of temperature, pressure, voltage, current, and gas flow
• Ability to write and maintain log sheets
• Skills in processing and removing graphite
• Ability to load raw materials
• Compliance with established working standards

Skills

• Hands-on experience with CVD furnaces and related equipment
• Proficiency in operating forklifts and handling hazardous materials
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

Actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills, and education.

Pay

Hourly: USD 23.92 - USD 28.95

Swing: Monday - Thursday: 3:00pm - 1:00am (10 hour shifts)
