Responsibilities

• Assists in the cleanup of room following procedure to include appropriate disposal of used supplies, handling of instruments, returning and restocking supplies.
• Also participates in restocking, resupplying and cleaning of the support areas.
• Assists in positioning, prepping and draping patients for procedures.
• Gives patients explanations and verbal reassurances consistently.
• Sets up and scrubs for procedures in a timely manner maintaining aseptic technique.
• Within scope of practice, starts IV's with N/S (no medications unless RN).
