CV/CT Surgery Physician Assistant (PA)

About the role

This facility is seeking a Cardiovascular Surgery Physician Assistant (PA) for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need. The position is located in Torrance, Southern California, a growing beach community halfway between Los Angeles and Orange County.

Responsibilities

• Perform endoscopic and radial artery harvesting
• Interpret electrocardiograms, X-rays, labs
• Manage ECMO, IABP, and Impella devices
• Round on inpatients post‑op
• First assist in surgery
• See patients in clinic

Requirements

• Active California state medical license
• Board Certified
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license
• Experience with EPIC EMR

Pay

$106.70 – $115.50 per hour

Schedule

• Hospital: Monday 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
• Clinic: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
• Call schedule: 6:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Available shifts: Weekend, On Call, 9
