Cutter Operator
About the role
McCain Foods is accepting applications for an IQF Cutter Operator to support operations at our Burley, Idaho facility. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining specialty IQF cutting equipment to ensure high-quality potato products are produced efficiently and safely for final packaging. The position works a 12-hour day or night shift in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Operate IQF cutting equipment to achieve proper cut uniformity and maximize potato utilization
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while supporting general and deep-cleaning activities
- Follow all hygiene and sanitation procedures to prevent product contamination
- Monitor conveyors, shakers, and related production line equipment
- Identify when cutter blades need replacement and perform required changes
- Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble equipment per established procedures
- Perform preventative maintenance and assist with troubleshooting equipment issues
- Clear line jams or plug-ups as needed to maintain production flow
- Communicate production, quality, or safety concerns to appropriate team members
- Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives and promote teamwork
What You’ll Need To Be Successful
- Ability to safely operate and maintain manufacturing equipment in a food production environment
- Strong understanding of sanitation, safety, and quality standards
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic maintenance and equipment adjustments
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Commitment to continuous improvement and workplace safety

You’ll be part of the Burley plant operations team, working closely with production operators, maintenance personnel, and quality teams. - Starting at 21.91 USD hourly + Bonus eligibility + Hourly Pay Differential for applicable shifts
