CUT PRODUCE/WAREHOUSE MANAGER

About the company

Expanding NYC-based food retailer seeking experienced warehouse managers to grow with their team. Service is not only what they provide to guests, but also how they treat the people they work with. Preference given to managers with backgrounds in cut produce, general warehouse, or food production.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and inventory management
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards (e.g., HACCP, SQF)
• Manage and develop a team of warehouse associates, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
• Monitor and maintain warehouse equipment and facilities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., procurement, logistics, sales) to optimize workflow and meet business needs
• Implement and enforce warehouse policies and procedures
• Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, accuracy, and safety metrics
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs

Requirements

• 3+ years of warehouse management experience, preferably in food production, cut produce, or general warehouse environments
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (e.g., HACCP, SQF)
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control
• Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
