Safety, Quality, Priorities
Safety, quality, and operational priorities are paramount. Focus on maintaining continuous operation of the tube mill throughout the shift.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the operational integrity of the tube mill equipment.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Participate in cross-training team members on parts programming and mill set-ups.
- Conduct TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) activities to optimize process and equipment performance.
- Coordinate daily and weekly activities with the department supervisor.
- Perform visual and manual quality checks of finished products.
- Minimize scrap production.
- Collaborate with maintenance personnel to resolve equipment issues promptly.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Experience using special measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, and tape measures.
- Ability to read and interpret OEM-supplied set-up charts for roll tooling adjustments.
- Knowledge of how to change out cut-off jaws, blades, and refill oil levels of equipment.
- Ability to meet negotiated time frames for scheduling tasks.
- Proficiency in documenting downtime through seamless reporting systems for KPI tracking.
- Strong communication skills to facilitate smooth workflow between team members and material handlers.
- Ability to adapt to schedule changes and conditions on the mill.
- Willingness to contribute to continuous improvement activities within the team.
Qualifications
- Must be available for a 2nd shift schedule, working Monday through Thursday from 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM.
