Customs Data Entry Clerk - Dublin
What to Expect
- Reviews commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading to ensure accuracy prior to submission.
- Transposes shipment details into customs and freight forwarding systems to create valid customs declarations.
- Verifies that goods are properly classified using Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes and meets regulatory guidelines.
- Liaises with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and importers to resolve documentation discrepancies.
- Provides excellent Customer Service.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in customs, international logistics, or domestic brokerage.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong data entry speeds with high accuracy rates, proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with HTS codes.
- Analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other pertinent software.
- A background in Cargowise preferred.
