Responsibilities
- Create inspection plans, review findings, develop repair plans, and write reports for existing equipment.
- Update fleet records to accurately reflect steam turbine and valve configurations.
- Manage technical services case queues by reviewing fleet data and addressing inquiries from internal and external customers.
- Provide technical support and leadership for root cause investigations and assist in developing customer-focused solutions.
- Offer inspection and repair quote support to the marketing organization and provide technical instructions for product deviations to manufacturing, supply chain management, or field service.
- Lead and support steam turbine R&D projects by performing calculations, ensuring timely issuance of drawings, and completing tasks within budget, while also reviewing and signing off on engineering drawings.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma is required. An associate’s degree or higher is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years of technical experience with rotating equipment, along with a fundamental understanding of mechanical engineering principles. Those with more experience may be considered for a more senior level position.
- A problem-solving mentality and the ability to collaborate with internal and external partners to create effective solutions.
- Knowledge of rotating equipment product design and familiarity with root cause analysis and the non-conformance process.
- Willingness to travel approximately 25% domestically and internationally, with the ability to obtain a passport.
- Flexibility to work during off-hours and weekends to support 24/7 operations, and a willingness to relocate if not within commuting distance of Houston, TX.
Qualifications
- Experience with steam safety valve assembly and troubleshooting
- Experience in rotating equipment design, preferably with steam turbines.
- Background in reliability, manufacturing, design, or operations of rotating equipment.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
