Job Responsibilities
- Serving as the first line of contact for the public, consultants, and outside agencies regarding the Retail Food Safety program for telephone callers.
- Aiding food establishments (restaurants, grocery stores, etc.) with registering their username and business through the online portal, including making payments and other site management duties.
- Researching and providing information concerning food safety questions and issues.
- Performing receptionist duties by answering the telephone and greeting visitors with an amicable and helpful attitude. This includes forwarding calls/concerns to the appropriate staff, agency, or industry partner.
- Carrying out office/administrative duties; organizing, developing, and implementing procedures for recording, routing, and filing documentation.
- Aiding with ordering supplies, collecting information from inspectors, and providing follow-up to our customers.
- Aiding with the collection and creating receipts for funds/fees collected.

Minimum And Additional Requirements
- A high school diploma with four years administrative experience in an office setting OR an associate degree and two years administrative experience.
- A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications
- Food safety/restaurant experience.
- Ability to operate independently.
- Knowledge of food safety, data collection, tracking, recordkeeping, and analysis.
- Ability to navigate and toggle between multiple, interfacing computing platforms.
