About the role
We’re looking for AV Technicians who want to learn and grow. AV technicians are responsible for ensuring audio, video, lighting, and control systems are installed in accordance with EA standards and APEx standards under the supervision of a project lead or lead in training. Responsibilities
- Install projects on time, on budget, and in accordance with industry standards.
- Ensure work is done safely.
- Develop your audio/video/lighting skills.
Requirements
- Able to perform physically challenging work requiring strong mechanical skills in all environments, amid stressful situations and deadlines.
- Reliable means of transportation and smartphone.
- Available to work overtime, out of town, evenings, and weekends as needed to support clients.
- Basic knowledge of sound, acoustics, video, lighting, and basic power systems.
- Skilled with Microsoft software.
- Commitment to learning, growth, and development.
Training
- Earning the AV Technologist certificate.
- Completing AVIXA’s Essentials of AV and Project Management for AV courses.
Pay
Compensation ranges from $18‑$24 per hour, based on experience.
