Customer Success Engineer (Federal) TS/SCI

About the role

Forward is seeking a Customer Success Engineer to join our Federal team. This role involves providing technical leadership to our clients, ensuring successful adoption and usage of our technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice and guidance as the subject matter expert to ensure successful ongoing usage and adoption of our technologies.
• Taking ownership of post-sales technical issues, documenting problem resolution steps and troubleshooting procedures.
• Walking customers through the various stages of adoption with our platform.
• Collaborating with internal teams including Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to support customers.
• Occasional travel to customer locations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• TS/SCI clearance with CI eligibility.
• 5+ years of customer-facing experience in a post-sales engineer role for a networking company, relevant software vendor, or as a network engineer for a large enterprise, service provider, or governmental agency.
• Strong understanding of networking and security fundamentals.
• Experience working with multiple network vendors such as A10, Arista, Cisco, F5, Fortinet, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, etc.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on needs analysis, positioning, business justification, and closing techniques; superior presentation skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of providing quick resolutions to problems.
• Demonstrated success in strategic thinking, tactical execution, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and retention in a fast-paced environment.
• One or more of the following certifications: CCIE, JNCIE, or VCDX.
• Experience working for a startup company.
• Knowledge of API-driven workflows and scripting languages (Python, bash, jq, GraphQL, etc.).

Benefits

Compensation for this position will vary based on qualifications, experience, and work location. Starting base salary plus bonus is expected to be between $220,000/yr to $245,000/yr. Stock options may also be included.
