Customer Solutions Representative - Hybrid

About the Role

The Restaurant Store is looking for a Customer Service Representative who excels in communication and has a strong commitment to providing hospitality. This role focuses on fostering customer loyalty and is a key part of growing our business while serving the purchasing needs of foodservice professionals worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, efficient, and accurate solutions for customers with the goal of customer loyalty and increased business sales
• Listen to and analyze customers' issues, investigate problems, and provide strategic solutions
• Ensure that customers always have the most complete and up-to-date information about the status of their orders
• Communicate product or service issues as they arise within the Customer Service department, as well as with any additional relevant departments
• Foster a team-oriented environment by maintaining a positive, professional attitude in all correspondence, both within and outside the company
• Remain flexible and adapt to change as the company continues to grow
• Take initiative and use strategic thinking to ensure that The Restaurant Store is the leader in the online foodservice industry
• Learn about the foodservice industry and the products that we sell
• Communicate with customers through phone, email, and chat about their order status and available products
• Guide customers through the website while providing online shopping assistance and product help

Physical Requirements

• Work is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer
• Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing
• Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
• Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching
• Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs

Remote Work Qualifications

• Access to a reliable and secure high-speed internet connection (cable or fiber preferred, at least 75mbps download/10mbps upload)
• Access to a home router and modem
• A dedicated home office space that is noise- and distraction-free, with strong wireless connection or a wired Ethernet connection (wired preferred)
• A valid, physical address (PO Boxes are not supported)
• The desire and ability to work and communicate with other team members via chat, webcam, etc.

Experience

A college degree or work experience in a related field is preferred. This role does not require a degree; relevant skills and experience and alignment with core values are prioritized.
